Then last year just when I spent my Christmas Amazon gift card on a pricey pair of new smartwool socks, I discovered that my old pair - about 3 years old- had big holes in both of the heels which was puzzling as I have never had any socks just bust into holes like that before. Well today I noticed my new - only a year or so old smartwool socks had huge holes in both heels. As I said, I do have other brands of socks and none have ever done that and these are by far my most expensive socks. Beautiful and warm and everything I wanted except they don't last. When I pay $20 for a pair of socks I expect them to last me for several years. So there you go.
